THE WORK
THAT GOT REAL.

The childhood mad-scientist fantasy got tools, ingredients, machinery, and an AI collaborator. What followed is part workshop, part test kitchen, part garage, part computer lab—making useful things for the joy of it and discovering that a few may have business plans hiding inside.

Ollie, the fictional Obama’s Elf character, seated at a warmly lit White House desk

Hero 01 · The original experiment

Obama’s
Elf

A ridiculous idea escaped.

A throwaway lyric joke became a song, a character, a visual mythology, and a finished five-minute film in eight days.

Ollie is not the AI trick. He is the small, loyal conscience at the center of it—the voice trying to keep decency from being mistaken for weakness. AI widened the production pipeline; human taste, story discipline, editing, and stubborn finishing made the character real.

The door behind the punchline

Ollie wasn’t alone.

Every great president had an elf—not a mascot, but a steward, a conscience, a tiny guardian of the institution. The joke is the gateway. This is the world behind it.

Freeze-drying craft + product system

ACTIVE

Cascade CryoSnacks

Freeze-drying became a maker art—and then a business we could actually operate.

Half the work is gloriously physical: finding ingredients worth preserving, learning how each one behaves under vacuum and cold, tuning cuts and batches, tasting the failures, and turning texture, color, flavor, and surprise into a repeatable craft. The other half is productization: using AI to build the brand, protect formula truth, govern packaging, prepare for market, and establish the back-office workflows that let a real product line grow without losing the maker’s fingerprints.

What exists
  • Ingredient scouting, experimental freezes, and physical iteration
  • A growing library of learned behaviors, recipes, and product candidates
  • Market-ready brand, package, and print-development system
  • AI-assisted workflow from formula truth through handoff and operations
Under the hood
  • Freeze-drying experiments
  • Ingredient + formula learning
  • Creative and package governance
  • AI-assisted back-office operations

The public Maker Atlas is now live: part product showroom, part mad-science field guide, and a living map of what CCS has imagined, tasted, named, illustrated, and learned.

Personal vehicle + design ethos

ACTIVE

RAM Black LabelDad Rocket

Build the truck that makes knowledgeable people question what they know.

Dad Rocket still has to be a great dad truck: comfortable every day, ready to tow, road-trip, haul the Home Depot run, and be easy to live with. Black Label adds a more personal ambition—real performance, better materials, and details subtle enough to reward a second look. It does not hide and it never shouts. It leaves just enough evidence to make someone think, “I know that’s a RAM—but what the hell is it?” AI helps research, visualize, remember, and keep the build coherent; the taste is restraint, usefulness, and craftsmanship.

What exists
  • A powerful daily driver that keeps every ordinary job
  • Real performance with no costume hardware
  • Craftsmanship replacing commodity plastic
  • One design language that says: let them wonder
Under the hood
  • Build Book + decision memory
  • Research and fitment synthesis
  • Visual prototyping
  • Long-running project continuity

The public build portal is now live: the evolving record of Project 001, its restraint-first design language, locked decisions, hardware, craft, and the evidence trail behind the truck.

Adaptive literature + product architecture

ADVANCED CONCEPT

StoryPath

One title can become 196 aligned editions—and still bring everyone into the same conversation.

The boom moment is the multiplier: one original work becomes one protected Story Canon, then as many as 196 editions aligned to different reading levels, concept needs, and contexts. Agentic AI makes that scale thinkable, but it is not the destination. The human payoff is families, classrooms, libraries, and lifelong readers experiencing the same essential story together instead of being separated by the edition they can access.

What exists
  • 1 title → 196 aligned-edition framework
  • Locked mission: One Story. Every Reader.
  • Reading Level and Concept Level separated without lowering meaning
  • Shared reading designed for families, schools, libraries, and communities
Under the hood
  • Agentic Story Compiler
  • Human-governed Story Canon
  • Versioned aligned editions
  • Narrative fidelity across every reader

Concept is substantial; product architecture and educational validity are not yet implemented or independently proven. The V2 deck is public here as a concept artifact, not a claim of a finished product.

Cultural memory + social music game

ACTIVE / LIVE POC

TrackUnpack

That electric little moment when an image makes you say: wait—I know this song.

Songs live in more places than the speakers: apartments, school gyms, train cars, old news clips, street corners, jokes, eras, and whatever memory got welded to the first listen. TrackUnpack turns that cultural debris into a game. HAZE gives you the evidence without the answer; HERO delivers the release when recognition clicks. AI expands the visual vocabulary, but the real product is human—personal taste made playable, arguments between friends, and the fun of discovering how differently people remember the same song.

What exists
  • Thirteen songs translated into paired HAZE + HERO worlds
  • Recognition designed as a fair, layered visual puzzle
  • A live game people can play—not just a poster gallery
  • Personal music memory turned into a shared ritual
Under the hood
  • Clue and decoy art direction
  • High-resolution visual storytelling
  • Playable Next.js product
  • Archive, profiles, scoring, and reveal states

Human-directed audio + reusable production system

ACTIVE

Music AI Generation

The generator is an instrument. Taste, selection, finishing, and preservation are the system.

Music Lab connects creative briefs, original lyrics, structured prompts, generation, deliberate iteration, local capture, seamless-loop engineering, technical QA, artwork, and asset manifests. Woodinville Café is one concrete use case: turning a local identity into a memorable hook, vocal character, finished visual world, and shareable audio asset. The same system also supports jingles, themes, cue families, background beds, loops, and sonic identity.

What exists
  • Woodinville Café finished audio + visual case study
  • The Show episode-one cue family
  • Background seamless-loop pipeline
  • Source, QA, master, and derivative states
Under the hood
  • Udio ideation
  • Local audio capture
  • Phase-safe loop construction
  • Manifest + hash lineage

Why this example: it is small enough to understand in one sitting but complete enough to exercise the whole pipeline—from brief and song generation through selection, finishing, artwork, and a web-ready audio asset. It demonstrates one use case, not the boundary of the project.

WORKING CHARTERS V0.4–V0.5 · NOT RATIFIED · NO PUBLIC BUILD

KinForge

What if the AI belonged to the institution—not the individual?

KinForge is a working platform concept for durable, high-trust groups that need their principles, decisions, and context to survive turnover and time. The AI serves as steward, archivist, and continuity layer; the people inside the institution retain authority.

What exists

Full and condensed working charters covering formation, governance, memory, trust, and AI-assisted stewardship.

Why it is different

Not another social network or meeting-notes product—an institution that can remember why decisions were made.

The next honest gate

Validate one small institution with lightweight tools and human governance before earning the right to build a platform.
